at National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur on 15th Oct, 2011.
A workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights in
Engineering” was organized by Himachal Pradesh Patent Information
Centre (HPPIC) in collaboration with Technology Information, Forecasting
and Assessment Council (TIFAC), Department of Science & Technology,
GoI and Centre for Excellence in Energy & Environment, NIT Hamirpur
on October 15, 2011. The workshop was attended by more than 100 participants
including students from various engineering streams and faculty members.
The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. R.L. Sharma, Director, National
Institute of Technology, Hamirpur. Sh. E. Vikram, Joint Member Secretary,
State Council for Science, Technology & Environment, H.P., Dr. T.
Chandersekhar, Director, Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment
Council (TIFAC), Department of Science & Technology, GoI and Prof.
S.S. Chandel, Head, Centre for Excellence in Energy & Environment,
NIT Hamirpur were present in the workshop. The presentations by experts
